Pastor Thomas E. Rogers Jr.


     Pastor Tom grew up in Elk Grove Village, IL and after graduating from high School, he attended Saint Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota. After graduating with a degree in Economics and working in business several years, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving on active duty for four (4) years. During his military service, he discerned God's call to serve as a Pastor, and when his enlistment term was complete, he entered the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. On Sunday, June 4, 2000 he graduated from seminary and accepted Redeemer's call to serve as their fourth pastor.

     Pastor Tom is active in the community, with involvement in Woodstock Area Community Ministry, School District 200, the Rotary Club of Woodstock (Noon), and Girl and Boy Scouting. He is an Eagle Scout. In the larger Lutheran church, he also chairs a synod committee. He enjoys playing basketball and tennis; He is married to Sarah Wilson, currently serving as Pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hebron. Tom and Sarah have two daughters, Sophia and Grace, and a son, Nathaniel.
